Community Relations
All of our efforts at Ocean Atlantic are guided by three fundamental principles:
PASSION FOR LIVING
RESPECT FOR ENVIRONMENT
SUPPORT FOR COMMUNITY
We refer to, and rely on, these principles every day as we face new decisions and challenges in our business. The communities in which we live and work are a significant component of our business and personal lives and we are committed to supporting them in a way that is consistent with our guiding principles – as demonstrated by our commitment to local philanthropic organizations. The land conservation efforts we support through the US Land Alliance and the non-profit Sussex County Land Trust demonstrate our commitment to open space preservation and the environment. And community-focused activities like the Ocean Atlantic Bike Helmet Program enable to us to give back to the members of our communities.
Just as we strive to design our projects in accordance with these principles, we utilize a governance policy to ensure our community-related efforts (monetary and non-monetary) are prioritized and directed appropriately.
Our Community Support policy requires all requests for donation by an Ocean Atlantic Company to be provided in formal written proposal which can be emailed to us here. The leadership team will review requests on a quarterly basis, on the first Thursday of March, June, September, and December. Complete proposals must be received by the 15th day of the prior month in order to be considered, requests received after the 15th day of the prior month will be reviewed at the next available committee meeting.
